Buraglio's 12/11 Sweet Stout

Ingredients:
4oz roasted barley
4oz black patent malt
12oz crystal malt 60L
10oz oatmeal
1 can dark John Bull LME
1 can light John Bull LME
8oz malto dextrin
8oz Lactos
1/2 cup brown sugar
P
2oz perle hops (bittering)
1/2oz kent golding hops (finishing)


Steeped grains 25minutes @ 140 -160F

Added LME and malto dextrin
Added 8oz Lactos
Added 1/2 cup brown sugar
Added bittering hops @30min (?)
boiled 55 minutes
Added finishing hops

*oritinally pitched into existing yeast cake from Porter.  Can be made with good stout yeast as well


12/11/2007 racked onto secondary over 2 cups water and 1/3lb Lactos

Bottled 12/23/2007 with priming sugar
